My hostess recommended the Kalamari and I have taken two meals there. Both were delicious and priced as in comparable restaurants. The first meal was a lamb roast, very succulent and well presented. The second was hummus, Greek saled, both very fresh and well balanced and tasty, and lamb kabob. Most of the pieces were very tender; the flavor was excellent. I was in Greece for a week in the 1970s, running low on money. A Greek salad in a country village near a shrine saved the day for me. Nothing tasted so heavenly. The Greek salad at Kalamari was second to the one in the past, but still better than I have had anywhere else. The wait staff were two men, both very courteous and considerate. The Kalamari was very convenient to where I was staying and a definite recommendation.

Our mini family reunion of 10 came in. It was a Sunday and they accommodated us without a reservation at 3:30 pm which was very appreciated, however, the general attitude seemed as though we were inconveniening the establishment. We understand that it was extremely last minute. My family just wanted to treat Peter and I to a nice dinner and this was the closest place. We did have a plan b, therefore, if they truly could not accommodate us we would've understood. I just did appreciate being treated like an inconvenience.
The food itself was awesome, very flavourful and well prepared. Of course I have a soft spot for humus. -

Lovely food here we walked past this restaurant and the smell of meat cooking over the coals was divine. We had hummus which was lovely with warm bread, a Greek salad which I was disappointed with as it was not served how they serve it in Greece. It was full of lettuce and had a dressing over it like a normal salad, not olive oil and dried herbs and the cumber was sliced not in chunks Luke in Greece, this happens all the time in London but I was hopeful a Greek restaurant would be different. My husband and I then shared a main of lamb cooked on the coals which was plenty for both us and delicious we left full and happy.

This restaurant is about 20 steps from my front door, and I love to support local business, however unfortunately the first time I visited, the restaurant was empty, the waiter ignored us, then proceeded to pick a fight with a group of youths outside. I say fight, I don't mean a brawl as such, but he was being antagonistic with a group of youths, one of whom had lost a set of keys that the waiter had picked up and refused to give back to them unless they offered a reward. The waiter then came over to our table to explain, but only came off as racist and rude. We didn't exactly gorge ourselves on food but the bill for two of us came to over £70 (one glass of wine and a soft drink between us). Admittedly the main dish I had was very good, but I feel nothing excuses the behaviour of this waiter, not to mention the disproportionately high price of the meal.

Before we even started, the owner's assertion that it was the best Greek food in the country and that we'd be back immediately raised my hackles. Simple programming like this doesn't work on me! However, the food was good. We ordered the meze for 2 (about £20 each) which consisted of about 8-10 different starter plates, all very tasty, (tzatziki, beans, houmous, taramasalata, etc), followed by grilled halloumi, home-made dolmades, barbecued crayfish, expertly grilled and seasoned lamb skewers, chicken. A bottle of retsina on top was very welcome. Slightly cheesy interior, but all adds to the Greek feel. I liked it.
